Wendy Heijne, our Founder of Shapelytech, was recognized in the peer-nominated 2026 edition by Nordic Founders for developing software that eliminates fashion overproduction.
ShapelyTech, an innovator in on-demand fashion technology software, today announced that its founder, Wendy Heijne, has been named to The Founders 50, an annual list celebrating the 50 most impactful early-stage entrepreneurs in the Nordic region. Curated by Nordic Founders and unveiled during Nordic Tech Week in Stockholm, the list recognizes founders from pre-seed to Series A who demonstrate exceptional market momentum, execution velocity, and original solutions to hard industry problems.
Selection for The Founders 50 is driven entirely by peer nominations from key ecosystem players – including venture capital backers, veteran builders, and category makers across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Iceland – with self-nominations strictly prohibited.
Heijne’s nomination highlights her work addressing structural overproduction in the global fashion sector. Under her leadership, Stockholm-founded ShapelyTech developed an e-commerce integration platform that automates custom measurements, pattern creation, and production routing directly from consumer orders. The software enables apparel brands to transition from speculative mass production to scalable, demand-driven manufacturing.
The recognition comes at a pivotal moment for European retail. Under the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), large enterprises face impending bans and mandatory reporting on the destruction of unsold textiles, forcing fashion brands to re-evaluate traditional inventory models.

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers in the Nordic ecosystem alongside such an inspiring cohort of builders,” said Wendy Heijne, Founder of ShapelyTech. “The fashion industry has relied on overproduction and high returns as an accepted cost of doing business for far too long. Being named to The Founders 50 underscores the urgency of our mission to make demand-driven, made-to-measure production scalable and profitable for brands.”
Following the list's reveal, the 50 nominated founders advance to a public vote to select the overall Founder of The Year, which will be crowned on the final day of Nordic Tech Week.
